General Internal Medicine Research Fellowship
Extraordinary opportunity with the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis
VA Divisions of General Medicine to pursue advanced training for a successful
career in academic medicine. Program includes formal training in research
methodology leading to masters degree, intensive mentored research experience
and training in all aspects of professional academic life, including grant and
manuscript writing, clinical teaching and critical review of literature.
Center supports over 80 funded projects with an annual budget of over
$10.5 million. There are currently 44 PhD and MD core or affiliate investigators
and 36 research support staff.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Highly competitive salary, full tuition
and travel stipend provided.

CLINICIAN INVESTIGATORS
The Minneapolis VA Section of General Internal Medicine and Center for Chronic Disease
Outcomes Research (CCDOR) are seeking individuals to fill 2 positions at the Assistant
and Associate/Full Professor levels. These are outstanding academic opportunities for
individuals with fellowship training and expertise in health services or outcomes
research, clinical epidemiology or clinical trials. We are a large, growing and
nationally renowned group of interdisciplinary researchers. Positions are primarily
research with considerable protected time and limited clinical responsibilities. BC/BE
in Internal Medicine required. Academic appointment and active collaboration with the
University of Minnesota School of Medicine.

PhD INVESTIGATORS,
Health Services Research Faculty
The Center for Chronic Disease Outcomes Research (CCDOR), a Veteran's Affairs Health
Services Research Center of Excellence at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, is seeking
candidates for two faculty positions at the Assistant and Associate/Full Professor levels.
Successful candidates will have a PhD in health services research, social science, or
related field; a record of publication; and demonstrated experience obtaining extramural
funding. Area of expertise is open but our preference is for at least one of the positions
to be filled by a candidate with interest in: mental health, polytrauma/blast-related
injuries, substance/nicotine use, or caregiver/family care.
Founded in 1998, CCDOR is a vibrant and growing organization with 22 PhD and MD
investigators, 36 research and administrative employees, and more than 80 externally
funded projects. CCDOR and its interdisciplinary community of investigators are affiliated
with the University of Minnesota Medical School, School of Public Health, the Comprehensive
Cancer Center, and the Clinical Outcomes Research Center and academic appointment and
active collaboration with these institutions is expected.
